Mezzo Desktop

I found a screenshot about mezzo desktop and i wonder if it's possible to get something similar in Linux.

In a IRC channel a guy posted an url showing mezzo desktop http://nat.org/2005/may/mezzo1.png. I googled it and i found this HowTo to get it in UBUNTU. Not tested yet but in queue.
